Home Sweet Loft

A new place to call home, welcome to the loft! Back in March in the early days I decide to quarantine with my boyfriend Leo in Los Angeles. It was a tough decision to leave my beloved New York City but it felt like the best choice with the circumstances at hand. A few weeks into staying in California I got the news that my apartment back in New York had sold. I knew it was a possibility since it had been on the market for a while, but I was unsurprisingly devastated. The beautiful apartment I had called my home for 3 years was no longer mine (and damn was it a GEM!) Trying to find a new place during quarantine without being able to see the apartment was in a word, stressful! One day I stumbled upon a gorgeous, open loft in Williamsburg and fell completely in love with it. After some back and forth with a pushy broker (New York real estate is truly the worst) we finally had a lease! The loft was build back in 1880 and is an open concept 2,000 square foot apartment with stunning exposed brick, super high ceilings with industrial pipes  and big oversized windows. The floor plan has two smaller rooms and one huge 20 x 20 space that was previously used as a photo studio that we will also be using as a content studio and rental space. We moved in June 1st and have been hard at work unboxing and working on a layout and decorating. For the design inspiration we want to create a bohmenian artist loft look while still showcasing the gorgeous raw, industrial elements in the space. I’ve been sharing a ton about out ‘loft vision’ on my IG stories and you can check out the highlights anytime! We still have a lot of work to do but we’re so excited about the new place. See below for a few of my home favorites from decor to shelving to faux plants (because I do not have a green thumb haha)
