I still remember the first time I ever tried
‘highlighter.’ I was probably 14 years old and it was an ‘instant glow’ that
came in a bottle. I, mistakenly, applied it all over my face because I loved
the shimmery effect. My mom made me wash it off because I looked ridiculous.
Highlighter has come a long way since then, as has my ability to apply it
correctly. It is, without a doubt, my favorite finishing touch to any beauty
look. I was so excited when Revlon announced a highlighter on the go. I chose the iridescent rosy
shade, Pink Light, which is perfect for fair to light skin. It’s so easy to
apply to create the look of glowing skin and enhance your best features. Here
are my favorite spots to apply –

On top of the cheekbones. This is the key
place to apply for that lit-from-within look. Pass the stick over the top of
the cheekbone from the corner of the nose up to the temple and blend with
fingers or a sponge.

Next I like to apply under the brow bone,
this lifts the brows and draws more attention to the eye area.

I also apply it on the cupid’s bow (the curve
right in the center of the top lip) to define the shape of the lips.

To add even more light to the eyes, I apply a
touch of highlighter to the tear ducts and feather out lightly under the inner
corner of the eyes. This really brings out the color of the eye!
Lastly, depending on my neckline, I dab a
touch of highlighter to the collarbones. I just love the effect it gives to
lightly highlight the décolleté!
