Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa

One of my favorite things about being a full-time blogger is
the ability to travel the world! Studying abroad in college totally gave me the
travel bug and ever since then I’ve jumped on any opportunity to explore new
places. When Palladium reached out to see if I was interested in checking out
their resort in Riviera
Maya Mexico,
I was so excited and texted my friend Noelle to see if she
wanted to join me! The trip was absolutely incredible. The resort is sprawling
with 8 freshwater pools (and one very cool saltwater pool), 9 restaurants, 25
bars and a world-class spa! We only wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived in the late afternoon on Saturday and were
greeted at reception with champagne! Noelle and I were whisked away in golf
carts – our main method of transportation for the weekend – and fell in love
with our room. It was huge with an oversized balcony with a private hot tub!
That night we had my favorite meal of the trip at Punta Emilia, a Mediterranean
seafood restaurant right on the water.

After dinner we went back to our room, soaked in the Jacuzzi
and fell asleep quickly after a long day of travel!
The next day we checked out the spa that had ornate Mayan
details. We had mani-pedis while we sipped mimosas!

After a great session at the spa we headed out on our
catamaran cruise – one of the great excursions offered by the resort! It was an
incredible experience out on the water. We did some snorkeling and enjoyed
ceviche and chips & guacamole.

The boat ride was one of my favorite parts of the trip for
me! That evening we had a tequila & mezcal tasting and I gotta say I loved
that. We learned about how tequila is made and the differences in different
types.

The next day we had a yummy breakfast in bed! Having fruit
in the morning helps me start the day off right. We had a full schedule with a trip to visit the Mayan Ruins in Tulum.

It was maybe 100 degrees but the ruins were so incredible.
We had a super knowledgeable guide who came from a family of tour guides! The
history was so interesting and the view of the beach and the ancient ruins.
Once we got back to the resort we hung out at my favorite pool on the property,
the Los Rocas Saltwater Pool. It is connected directly to the ocean with a net
so you’re actually swimming with little fishes! One even nipped me – at first I
was freaked out but I got used it! And it had a full service bar so we were
sipping mojitos while we swam with the fishes.

That evening we had a tasting dinner to try out the wedding menu. The resort specialized in dream destination weddings and the food did not disappoint! The next morning we went back to the spa for a facial & massage. The perfect send off for a great trip. Before leaving we took one last dip on the pool and drank a few last mojitos then hopped on the plane bak to NYC!
