The one thing I miss about being a student is back to school shopping. That exciting time when you buy new binders, #2 pencils and cute new outfits to catch the eye of your crush. There was such an excitement in the air! I’ve decided that just because I’m a “grown up” doesn’t mean I’m going to give up this special time of year! I’ve been doing a ton of fall shopping and this new outfit from ModCloth might be one of my new favorites. It’s collegiate but more a quirky professor than college kid. I fell in love with this “M” varsity sweater first. My mom always had “M” decorative letters around the house and I always thought it was a cute nod to our family. This “M” I’m sure refers to ModCloth, but hey, we’re on each other’s team! I paired the cardigan with a cayenne-colored circle skirt and a white textured tie blouse, both from ModCloth. The shoes are super comfortable thanks to their block heel and hidden platform and they add that ‘cool teacher’ charm to any look. I had a great time shooting these photos at Brooklyn Bridge Park overlooking lower Manhattan’s incredible skyline. It was a perfect fall day! I’m hoping for more warm yet crisp fall days ahead.
