The day has come. It’s August 9, 2016 and I am officially 26 years old. I love birthdays. I’ve always loved birthdays since I was little kid. One of my most memorable birthdays was when I turned six and I had Aladdin and Jasmine impersonators come to my house in California. I think another year I had Pocahontas, too. But now I’m all grown up and the parties are a little different. This past weekend we threw a cookout in my friends front yard complete with hot dogs, hamburgers and watermelon margaritas)VLOG ENG / VLOG FRE! This past year has been incredible to say the least. Last year in August I took a leap of faith and quit my full-time job as a social media manager at Origins, an Estée Lauder brand. I decided to dedicate myself to this blog, my YouTube channels, and Instagram. It was such a scary decision, leaving a steady salary at a job I really loved to pursue one I love even more. In my 25th year I moved apartments (again), fell in love, traveled around the world, lost 15 pounds and truly came to know myself better. Change can be hard. Learning to work independently was a huge struggle. I missed the camaraderie of going into a job everyday, chatting with coworkers and working on big projects. I realized it can be hard and lonely to travel alone sometimes. But every change, every challenge was for the better. I’m so excited to see where 26 will take me.
