I was invited to the launch party for the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay collection last night and picked up the entire line (omg!) I wanted to share the amazing lipstick collection with you guys. I grew up listening to No Doubt on my parent’s ‘Tragic Kingdom’ cassette tap if you can believe that! I’ve always been such a fan of Gwen’s eccentric sense of style and of course her signature beauty look – she rocks a red lip like nobody else! The collection is absolutely wonderful and there are some really excellent colors and in true Urban Decay fashion very pigmented! Check out the shades below.
Urban Decay x Gwen Steafani: Rock Steady Lipstick
This is a killer shade. It’s a perfect rock and roll dark red with great consistency. The finish is satin with a touch of shine – I personally prefer a matte finish for a color like this so I added a touch of loose powder to set and mattify.
Urban Decay x Gwen Steafani: Ex-Girlfriend Lipstick
I’m not usually a nude lipstick girl but this color is totally gorgeous. It’s the perfect natural looking shade with a good amount of shine. I also really like the lip pencil for this one and it can be worn alone for a more matte effect.

A very pretty true red shade that’s great for special occasions. It’s a bit deeper and slightly more pink than 714 (below)

SUCH A FUN COLOR! This fuchsia pink shade is so bright it just begs to be worn to a party or late night karaoke (singing “I’m just a girl” obviously) It reminds me of a mix between Nars “Shiap” and Mac “Impassioned” but with high voltage shine.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani: Wonderland Lipstick
Another colorful pop of color. The shade is a bit more of a pink/red than a fuchsia as shown in the photo but it’s definitely a burst of fun. If you’re a red girl looking to try something a bit more pink I highly recommend ‘Wonderland.’

A glossy barbie pink, Phone Call is oh-so-bublegum! Brings me back to my teen years but in a grown up way.
Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani: 714 Lipstick
By in large my favorite of the bunch, 714 just screams ‘Gwen.’ It reminds me of Russian Red by Mac but not quite so dry. It is certainly matte but glides on smooth and the color payoff is, just wow!
