So it’s official – it’s summer in the city. While it’s not technically summer until June, it has been warm, even dare I say hot and sunny in the Big Apple for the past few weeks. On my way to shoot this look I couldn’t help but stop by the ice cream truck for a vanilla swirl with rainbow sprinkles. Instead of my typical Brooklyn backdrop, I photographed this look in West Village which was glowing with soft light and bustling with New Yorkers on a sunny Friday afternoon. For this outfit I wanted to ‘keep it real’ and show you guys a paired-down casual look I’ve been loving. I don’t actually run around all the time in heels, in fact most New Yorkers don’t, that’s just another Sex and the City myth. I recently bought these low profile converse sneakers. They are less bulky and more feminine than the classic version and I love them in white. I paired them with a simply black silk v-neck, black skinny jeans & my new favorite tassel necklace from Bauble Bar. Hope you guys like this laid-back look! PS: my hair is getting SO long. I haven’t cut it since November! More ice cream pics here.
