This Labor Day, I spent the holiday weekend upstate at Alex’s parents house in Ithaca, NY. I had such an amazing time taking in the fresh country air and exploring the beautiful town. After an uncomfortable bus ride on Thursday night, I woke up with a sore back on Friday morning but started to feel better after several Ibuprofen and an acupuncture appointment. Saturday was absolutely beautiful and we started the day at the Ithaca Farmer’s Market nestled in a pavilion overlooking a Creek. Afterwards, Alex and I zipped around downtown on his mom’s amazing seafoam scooter. I only rode it around a parking lot, but man it was fun! Later in the day, we brought some fresh fruit to Cayuga Lake and played cards while soaking up some end-of-summer sun. To wrap up the evening, we visited a few wineries along the Seneca Wine Trail tasting some great local flavors and watched the sunset at a great restaurant overlooking the lake. I can’t wait to visit Ithaca again.
