Swimsuit: ModCloth, Headscarf: Vintage, Lipstick: Mac Lady Danger
I have to admit coming back from Paris was tough. We had such an amazing vacation in the City of Light, I wanted to stay in our Parisien daydream forever. After a week back at work, I wanted a mini-vacation so Alex and I decided to take the subway out to Rockaway Beach. It was actually a breeze. We took the J train transferring to the A at Broadway Junction down to the water. All in all it took just over an hour, not too bad to get to the beach on a $2.50 subway fare. We had an amazing time relaxing and soaking in some sun. Sure, it’s a bit crowded, but there’s plenty of room to set up your blanket, cooler and relax. I was excited to shoot some photos at the beach, and Alex was darling enough to snap a few of me in my pin-up look. This bathing suit from ModCloth is my favorite bathing suit I’ve ever owned! The red and white polka dot print is so retro, plus the ruching at the waist and halter detail add a special je ne sais quoi that really stands out.
