It’s finally here – summer in the city! Although it’s not technically summer until June 21, it certainly felt like it over the gorgeous Memorial Day weekend in New York City. I had a blast enjoying the sun in Brooklyn. It was the perfect occasion to pull out my new high-waisted shorts from express and wrap my hair up with a silk scarf (tutorial here). I love this look because it really speaks to my retro/pin-up style while the crop top keeps it modern. I have to admit, it’s a bit daring for me, but I’ve come to a point where I really love my body and am proud to wear what I think looks great. What did you do over the weekend?
